Pamela Cremer Celebration Fund

The “Pamela Cremer Celebration Fund”  has been set up to honor  our dear friend and colleague.  Helping a deserving student with their expenses at Madison College is a fantastic way to remember Pamela’s vibrant spirit and contributions.
We need your help to fund this endeavor! The link below leads to the Madison College Foundation web site. Giving is open to everyone, and you can create a one-time, or recurring gift. The fund will be flexible and is designed to support both part time and full time students, continuing and new, in graphic design, visual communications, web design, marketing, social media/mobile marketing, and print media arts. Secondary programs include photography, journalism and college transfer art.

Fund purpose:
This fund is named in honor and celebration of Pamela “Cakes” Cremer.  Pamela was a full-time Graphic Design and Illustration instructor at the college for many years.  She added amazing talent, innovation and inspiration to the program and students, and was a leader in social media and web design.  Pamela’s colorful life was taken in 2014 by cancer.  This fund was established by her friends, family and colleagues to share her light and love of design with the next generation of talent.  It is focused on providing student scholarships in design, social media and art-related programs.

How to Donate:

Head to the “Donate Now – Click Here” link. When prompted, make sure to write in: Pamela Cremer Celebration Fund.

Thank you!!

Welcome Courtney!

We are thrilled to welcome Courtney Dicmas as our newest faculty member in the Graphic Design and Illustration Program.

Courtney is the author and illustrator of four new picture books: The Great Googly Moogly, Lemur Dreamer, Home Tweet Home and Harold Finds a Voice (recently shortlisted for the 2014 Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize).   She comes to us from the Cambridge School of Art, in England, where she taught part-time on the BA Illustration and MA Children’s Book Illustration programs.  She does her best work for Child’s Play International (UK), Templar Publishing (UK), and Doubleday Books (USA), at a wooden desk named Henry, overlooking the snowy pine trees of East Madison, with a snuffling spaniel, Charlie, at her feet.
