College Mourns the Loss of Pamela Cremer

On Sunday September 14th we lost a dear friend and colleague in Pamela Cremer.  After a long bout with cancer Pamela passed away at Agrace Hospicecare in Fitchburg surrounded by her husband Iver, son Eric and his wife Alicia, her mother and sisters and their husbands, and friends.  Pamela was a member of our Graphic Design and Illustration department for many years part-time, joined us full time in 2008, and touched and changed many lives during her time at our college.  All of us in the Graphic Design and Illustration program, in our college, and in our community will miss Pamela very much.

Services

The service will be Friday, September 19, 2014, in Dubuque, Iowa.

The schedule is currently set for 11 am at Mount Calvary Cemetery, and a celebration of all things Pamela at around noon at Eagle Point Park.  Instead of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Agrace Hospice in Pamela’s name.

Pamela had wished to be cremated and then to be shot off in fireworks, of course. We expected nothing less.  The current thinking is to hold off until the fourth of July, which is her birthday, and will provide more time for planning a wonderful celebration. That will likely be at her family’s land in Iowa, where people can perhaps camp, and there can be a flotilla of sorts, and all manner of festivities.

Friends and colleagues of Pam at Madison College will also be planning a celebration for her in the Madison area with more details to follow.
